What to do for the happiness of the fields.

Sixtine Dubly explores the possibility of friendship with cultivated flora through the gestures and tools of gardeners, farmers, and farmers. They question the connection and care for the Living through our cultivation methods and feminism.

Her rural imagination develops through ceramic work, plant performance, and poetry.

About

Sixtine Dubly works with Flora as a tool of metamorphosis.

She has notably designed new formats such as La Résidence Artistique Horticole (Seine-Saint-Denis, 2021) and Le Collectif de la Fleur Française (2017), curated the exhibitions Narcisse ou la fleurie des mondes (FRAC MECA, Bordeaux, 2020), Épiphyte (Artcurial, 2019), she is the author of La tentation des fleurs (éditions Assouline, 2016) and Femme agreste ( éditions les murmurations, 2024).

Previously, she was a journalist at L'Obs, Ideat then at Paris Match from 2010 to 2023, where she began to document innovative research with plants, in agriculture, art and crafts and met the actors of change in France and in Anglo-Saxon countries.

She is also the founder of printemps neuf in 2022.

Poetry & performance:

21.09.2024. Femme agreste, ed. Les murmurations. Sixtine Dubly explores human-flora friendship mediated by gestures, tools and meteorology. This work by poet, visual artist and critic is part of her Répertoire du Lien et du Soin.

She questions the notion of agreste, from the Latin champ, and the verb, agir, and makes her own this question from the poet Virgil, What to do for the happiness of the fields.
